This site is an engineering notebook, not a consultancy service.

The content and the tools are provided as is. The approaches described are decisions taken on particular systems under particular constraints; as every article states, those decisions have a point at which they stop being right. There is no guarantee that they will produce the correct result on your system.

Evaluate and test under your own conditions before applying anything in production, and have your rollback plan ready. No liability is accepted for data loss, downtime or any other damage arising from use of the content or the tools.

Tools

The developer tools on this site run entirely in your browser and send your data to no server. Even so:

  • The JWT Decoder does not verify signatures; it does not prove a token is valid.
  • The password generator uses your browser’s cryptographic randomness source, but storing and managing the passwords you generate is your responsibility.
  • The tools are not guaranteed to be correct or continuously available.

Not pasting real production secrets into arbitrary web tools is a good habit — this site included.
